Community guidelines

Make the shared table useful and safe

BiteRoster Community is for practical cooking knowledge, thoughtful questions, and respectful discussion. These guidelines explain what belongs at the table and how review works.

Share what helps

Post recipes, cooking lessons, planning ideas, grocery-saving approaches, and specific questions. Describe your own experience honestly and make uncertainty clear when food safety, allergies, or nutrition are involved.

Do not fabricate member activity, impersonate another person, manipulate Bites, or use Community primarily for repetitive promotion or spam.

Respect people and their privacy

Harassment, direct threats, targeted encouragement of harm, hateful abuse, sexual exploitation, and instructions intended to seriously harm someone are not allowed.

Do not post private health details, payment or account numbers, home addresses, private contact information, credentials, receipts, private source links, or another person’s workspace information.

Share only content you may use

Respect copyrights, trademarks, attribution requirements, and the rights of recipe writers, photographers, and other creators. Link to or summarize a source when that is more appropriate than reproducing it.

Use the subtle report control on a post, comment, or public recipe for copyright concerns. The Copyright & DMCA page explains what information helps us review a request.

Warnings, restrictions, and review

Community submissions pass an automatic safety check before publication. A high-confidence violation is blocked, explained, and recorded as a warning. Three active warnings within the review window temporarily restrict posting while a developer reviews the case; reading and safety controls remain available.

Automatic systems can be wrong. Reviewers can overturn warnings, reverse takedowns, and reinstate posting. Reports and warnings are considered in context rather than treating every flag as permanent punishment.
